Faience Mummy Bead Strand
In ancient Egypt these faience beads were commonly used to make knitted apron which was to cover the mummified body during the burial, hence their name. Currently farmers still occasionally find these mummies while tilling the soil.
Our Mummy Bead Strand repurposes three thousand year old turquoise, red, brown, and yellow faience beads sourced from Egypt some forty years ago into strands hand-made by Egyptian artists. Please note that the styles shown is a sample from our collection – bead color and styles will vary. Extremely limited quantities available.
Approximately two hundred beads per 32″ strand.
