Vintage Laurel Burch Isis Egyptian Revival Necklace on a Cord
The goddess Isis, with an elaborate wings spread. Isis is a goddess in Egyptian mythology. She was known as the goddess of the moon. As goddess of life and magic, Isis protected women and children, and healed the sick. Closely linked to the throne, she was one of the greatest goddesses of Ancient Egypt.
The Egyptian revival necklace here is vintage stock from the 1970’s – it was designed by the late artist Laurel Burch and crafted by hand. The necklace pendant is cast of silver plated brass and measure about 2 1/2 inches wide, its paired with knotted colored cord, 32 inches in length,which ties to close at the back of the neck.
