Vintage Shashi Red Scarab Earrings
This over 3000 year old design is work of timeless elegance. An exact replica of an ancient Egyptian design from the Egyptian Museum of Cairo, these enamel on copper cloisonné earrings depict abstracted scarabs in a beautifully detailed geometric design. Silver lever-backs ear wires for pierced ears. Same cloisonne design in front and back. Size: 1 1/2 Inches including the earwire. The width of the pendant is 11/16 inch, the length of th pendant id 3/4 Inch.
This pendant currently displayed in Egyptian Museum in Cairo, once belonged to Princess Meretet, daughter of Senusret III. Circa 1878 – 1839 BC
